On behalf of SEFAG Forestry and Timber Industry Joint Stock Company (SEFAG Erdészeti és Faipari Zártkörûen Mûködõ Részvénytársaság) I greet those who visit our website and show interest in our activity.

Our company is managing on forest area of eighty thousand hectares, the half of the forests in Somogy County. These forests are owned by the sate. The basis of our management is provided by the variable forests and various endowments. The oak-stands, alder forests in Inner-Somogy, Turkey oak forests in Outer Somogy and the sessile oaks, silver lindens and beech-trees in Zselic region, reminding of hill conditions, represent much value. Their
maintenance, while we provide the timber requirement of the society, can be completed by professional work and continuous reforestation only and with consideration of the sustainable development. For this the guarantee is the work performed by our foresters having much experience, showing strong professional commitment and consideration for the secular professional laws.

Our trade is a special one, because we have to manage those values that had been created by our ancestors. We must give thanks to those who had worked in the forests and for the forests in Somogy County because the people having been employed by our company in the past also contributed to our present results achieved by the present staff.

We make efforts to achieve that the forests can serve simultaneously the environment protection, wood cutting and welfare purposes. In addition to the economical expectations we have to consider the common requirements of the people, being beaten and tired from the results of the technical-civilisation, for the nature; as well as the global alarm signals.
